Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on **Food and Beverage Manager** to lead all aspects of our food and beverage operations. Reporting directly to the Clubhouse Manager, you will oversee daily service in all dining outlets, manage banquet and catering events, supervise a talented team, drive member satisfaction, and achieve financial objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all food and beverage operations, including a la carte dining, bar service, beverage cart, pool/grill outlets (seasonal), and private events/banquets.
- Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate front-of-house staff (servers, bartenders, hosts, runners, etc.) to maintain the highest standards of service and professionalism.
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef on menu development, pricing, seasonal offerings, and special event menus to ensure quality, variety, and profitability.
- Develop and manage departmental operating budgets, control food/beverage costs, labor costs, and inventory; monitor performance and implement corrective actions to meet or exceed financial goals.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations; maintain impeccable cleanliness and presentation across all F&B areas.
- Drive member and guest satisfaction through proactive service, handling inquiries/complaints with professionalism, and implementing feedback-driven improvements.
- Assist in planning and executing club events, tournaments, holiday functions, weddings, and private parties to maximize revenue and enhance member engagement.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented culture while upholding club policies, rules, and a high level of member service.
- Manage POS systems, reservations, banquet event orders (BEOs), and reporting.
- Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to overall club strategic initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of progressive food and beverage management experience, preferably in a private country club, upscale resort, or fine-dining environment.
- Proven track record of managing multiple outlets, banquet/catering operations, and achieving strong financial results.
- Strong leadership skills with experience hiring, training, motivating, and developing service teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build rapport with members, guests, and staff.
- Knowledge of food/beverage trends, cost controls, inventory management, and POS/reservation systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
- Certifications such as ServSafe, TIPS (or equivalent alcohol service training), and food handler required.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by club operations.
- Passion for hospitality and a genuine commitment to exceeding member expectations in a private club setting.
