Pantry Chef

Food & Beverage Banquet Manager

Job Overview
Green Valley Country Club is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Banquet Manager to oversee banquet and catering operations while supporting restaurant service. This hands-on leadership role requires proven experience in both food & beverage and banquet management. The successful candidate will serve as a key holder, manage closing procedures for the restaurant, and ensure exceptional guest experiences across banquets, events, and daily F&B operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute banquet and catering events from inquiry through follow-up, including menu development, staffing, setup, service, and breakdown.
  • Oversee food and beverage operations for banquets, private events, and restaurant service to maintain quality, consistency, and profitability.
  • Act as a key holder: open/close facilities, secure premises, manage alarm systems, and ensure all closing checklists are completed accurately.
  • Perform and supervise restaurant closing duties, inventory counts, equipment shutdown, cleaning verification, and end-of-day reporting.
  • Lead, train, schedule, and motivate banquet and F&B teams to deliver high standards of service and hospitality.
  • Collaborate with kitchen, sales, and front-of-house teams on event logistics, special requests, and operational efficiency.
  • Work with F&B Director to monitor food and beverage costs, control waste, manage inventory, and support budget adherence for banquets and restaurant operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and company policies.
  • Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally; maintain strong client relationships for repeat and referral business.
  • Maintain accurate records for events, labor, sales, and incidents; prepare reports as required.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven experience in food & beverage management and banquet/catering operations (hotel, restaurant, conference center, or similar preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a key holder and reliably perform/oversee restaurant closing duties.
  • Strong knowledge of banquet service styles, menu planning, wine/beverage service, and event logistics.
  • Experience leading teams, managing schedules, and driving service excellence.
  • Solid understanding of cost control, inventory management, and basic P&L awareness.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as events and restaurant needs require.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any required alcohol service certification and food handler permits.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift to 50 lbs. as needed, and move throughout the facility.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior key-holder or assistant manager experience in a full-service restaurant or hotel F&B outlet.
  • Experience with banquet software/POS systems and event management tools.
  • Culinary background or strong working knowledge of kitchen operations.
  • Multilingual skills or experience in high-end or large-scale banquet settings.

POSITION TITLE: Outside Services Attendant
FACILITY/DEPARTMENT: Golf Operations
REPORTS TO (TITLE): Outside Services Supervisor, Assistant Golf Professional, Head Golf Professional

BASIC FUNCTION: Assist in every phase of outside operation. Provide excellent customer service for all golf-related activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
 Public relations oriented
 Knowledge of golf
 Good communication skills
 Must have valid driver’s license
 Reliable

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING:
 Minimum of 1-year of high school completed

WORK EXPERIENCE:
 Prior public service helpful
 Previous golf experience preferred

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Greets all guests upon arrival and assists with the loading and unloading of golf bags.
2. Ensures carts are staged and properly stocked with amenities.
3. Ensures rental sets are properly cleaned, stored and accounted for.
4. Washes golf carts nightly and assures proper storage to include charging batteries.
5. Assists with cart detailing.
6. Picks up driving range balls and assures they are cleaned.
7. Keeps cart facility parking lot, staging area and other areas of facility free of litter.
8. Wears issued uniform and name-tag at all times.
9. Follows safety policies and procedures set forth by Green Valley CC.
10. Assists professional staff with tournament operations.
11. Attends required staff meetings.
12. Cleans guest’s clubs at the beginning and conclusion of play.
13. Reports any cart damage or mechanical problems to professional staff immediately.
14. Maintains practice facility standards.
15. Assists with starting players and assures proper care of all facility assets.
16. Performs any other duties deemed necessary by supervisor and professional staff.
17. Has complete knowledge of property, course and locations of all significant elements of the facility.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Assist with any reasonable task requested by management or Green Valley CC.
2. Work in other areas of operation if needed

ENVIRONMENT: Outside working conditions a majority of the time in a variety of weather conditions.
